Spring break is right around the corner, and if you don’t have an extravagant vacation planned, don’t worry! You can still have a fun and frugal staycation. Here are ten ways to have fun while staying at home for the break!

1. Check out local events
Many towns have cool and exciting events going on, such as movies in the park, concerts, museums or different festivals.

2. Have a spa day
Go to a local spa and get the whole package to let your body and mind recharge and refresh on your much needed break.

3. Take a nap
Honestly, you’re probably sleep deprived, so take this chance when you have no stress and nothing to do to catch up on all those hours of sleep you missed.

4. Take a bike ride
This is a great way to get in some fresh air, enjoy the beautiful nature that is around and do a little exercise.

5. Go to a movie
You know how you always see previews of movies that you want to see but never have time? Well now you have the time! So either take a friend, or even go by yourself and enjoy a movie.

6. Take a hike
There are probably many trails around your house that you didn’t even know of until you look. This is a great way to get out of the house and explore either by yourself, with a friend, or with your dog.

7. Clean your house
Even though this is not the most fun thing to do, you have the time. Once it is all done you will feel so much better and so productive.

8. Plan for the future
Since you’re not doing anything on this break you have time to plan for your next get away and get excited.

9. Try a new recipe
This is a great time to try that recipe you always thought looked good. If you mess it up, you have time to retry or just order takeout.

10. Have a photo shoot
Get all dressed up or put on your best makeup and take a bunch of pictures. You don’t have to go anywhere fancy; just go in your backyard or make a set up in your room so you have some new selfies to post.
