Poetry is an outlet people use to express themselves in a most comfortable way. The Witch Doesn’t Burn in This One, is a poetry book that everyone should read. It empowers every type of women and encourages them to use their voices. All the issues that women face in today’s society, like sexual assault, eating disorders, equality of women to men, and much more are addressed in the book.

The poems are beautifully written, some of the encounters or events are gruesome, but they are not done in a way that takes away from the simplicity. For women who feel they need some encouragement, a reminder of how great they are, or support that shows that they are not alone and it was not their fault when something bad happened to them. This book is for them. Every woman should read this book so we can understand each other’s experiences, and to learn, listen, and grow as a society.
